Martinius Stenshorne topped the Formula 3 practice session at the 2024 Barcelona Grand Prix in his Hitech Pulse-Eight, recording a time of 1:28.774. Close behind him were Oliver Goethe and Gabriele Minì.

Returning from the streets of Monaco, Formula 3 faced the aerodynamically challenging Barcelona track, known for its variety of speeds, corners, and testing conditions. This session marked the midpoint of the 2024 season, yet the drivers were not rushing to take to the track.

Luke Browning, driving a Williams-liveried Hitech, was among the first to venture out, completing only an exploratory lap before returning to the pits. Most drivers remained in the pits as the session clock wound down to 30 minutes before they began their preparations.

Dino Beganovic of PREMA led the initial charge with a time of 1:29.997, quickly surpassed by teammate Gabriele Minì, who posted a 1:28.847. Noel Léon in the Van Amersfoort followed with a 1:29.450. The sunny conditions led to a rapidly evolving track, resulting in faster times. Oliver Goethe of Campos Racing temporarily took the lead with a 1:28.810, while Meguetounif struggled to keep his car on track, and Sztuka’s MP Motorsport car had a gravel incident, damaging its underside but eventually returning to the track after repairs.

Martinius Stenshorne ultimately set the fastest lap of the session at 1:28.774, narrowly edging out Goethe and Minì. The session was cut short when Mari Boya of Campos Racing crashed into the wall at turn 1, bringing out the red flag. The session did not resume.

The practice session concluded with Stenshorne in the lead at 1:28.774, followed by Goethe with 1:28.810 and Minì with 1:28.847.
