F2 | Feature Race | British GP |Crawford takes the chequered flag ahead of Hadjar and Maloney, Hadjar taking the win after a penalty for Crawford

Isack Hadjar lines his Campos up in the front spot of the grid for this weekend’s Formula 2 Feature Race, Victor Martins parking his ART up next to him. MP Motorsport locking out the second row with Hauger and Colapinto starting in 3rd and 4th respectively. 

Martins and Bearman get away brilliantly, Martins leading Bearman through Abbey. Bearman moves up to 2ndfrom 5th from the start. Maini makes contact with the rear of Antonelli, causing him to spin, and he is stationary at the back of the field, resulting in a yellow flag. Hadjar stays in 3rd after a bad start. 

Bortoleto lunges around Maloney, managing to hold 5th position. The safety car is brought out due to Antonelli’s spin in turn 3. Maini and Antonelli’s incident will be investigated post-race. 

Colapinto drops back to 8th, being passed by Bortoleto, Maloney, and Verschoor in the opening few corners. 

The safety car returns to the pit lane at the end of lap 2. Villagomez locks up while side by side with Miyata. 

Hauger and Colapinto go wheel to wheel on the approach to Wellington Straight, Colapinto just remaining ahead, Hauger continuing the fight his way up through Luffield, pressing Colapinto through Copse. Dürksen makes contact with Aron and spins through Woodcote, dropping to 21st, beaching his AIX in the gravel and bringing out the safety car. 

Aron is into the pitlane with damage yet again, his rear right needing to be changed. Maini is also into pit lane for four tyres, both remaining on the same compound so will not count as their mandatory stop. 

Aron and Dürksen’s incident is under investigation. The safety car returns to the pit lane at the end of lap 6. 

Verschoor and Fittipaldi slot into pit lane, both going onto the hard compound tyre. 

Hadjar applies pressure on Bearman on the approach to Brooklands and through Luffield. Maloney and Bortoleto fight for 5th, Maloney managing to stick the move on Bortoleto, taking his place. 

Hadjar dives to the inside of Bearman into Brooklands, unable to make the move stick.

Villagomez receives a 10s penalty. Hadjar makes a spot on Bearman, although Bearman had already been called into the pits. Hadjar jumping into the pits also, maintaining position on Bearman who has a terrible stop. 

Bearman is noted for a pit lane infringement, as well as being noted for a dry ice infringement, the dry ice infringement will be investigated after the race. 

Hauger makes a move on Bortoleto, taking 4th place. Martins takes a slow pit stop, Maloney and Crawford also boxing. Crawford narrowly misses Maloney, who he cuts off out of his box, Maloney having to jump on the brakes. Crawford and Maloney are under investigation for an unsafe release. 

Colapinto is applying pressure to Correa, gaining position on him through Stowe. 

Hadjar is on the rear of Martins in the run up to Copse, attempting a move on him through Stowe, going around the outside, running off the circuit and re-joining side by side with Martins, eventually having to concede the place to Martins. 

Bearman and Maloney are noted for forcing another driver off the track, but has been marked as no further investigation. Martins and Hadjar are noted for the same, also marked as no further investigaiton. 

Marti makes a move on Stanek, currently third on the road. 

Aron receives a 10s penalty for early incident with Dürksen, forcing Dürksen to DNF. 

Aron is all over the rear of Miyata, Miyata holding on to 7th on track. 

Barnard and Stanek go side by side, Barnard making the move stick. 

Prema are noted for a pit lane infringement, which will be investigated post-race. 

O’Sullivan and Stanek battled down to Brooklands, O’Sullivan defending him off. Aron then makes his move on Miyata stick, for 7th place. 

Maini is shown a black and white flag for track limits, this incident has been noted. Miyata goes down the inside of Stanek through Luffield, moving up to 7th. 

Hadjar is on the rear of Martins, looking to make a move. He makes that move through Vale, briefly off of the road, Martins off the road at Club Corner, and off again through Abbey, Hadjar taking his place, Crawford all over the rear of Hadjar, before taking that sport from him. 

Jak Crawford receives a 5s penalty for his unsafe release, while in the effective lead of the race. 

Martins is 3.3s seconds back to the battle between Crawford and Hadjar, the battle is now effectively between Hadjar and Maloney due to Crawford’s penalty. Their gap to Colapinto has widened to 29s, making his need for a pitstop a lot easier. 

Aron looks to make a move of O’Sullivan, unable to do so. Colapinto and Correa moving into the pit lane. 

Colapinto returns to the track behind Martins, Bearman looking to make a move on Colapinto, looking down the inside of Maggots and Becketts, unable to make a move. 

Bearman is under pressure from Bortoleto. Maini receives a 5s penalty for track limits. Correa reports a puncture, ruining his race. 

Barnard and Marti are under investigation for forcing another driver off the track. 

Bortoleto making his move on Bearman around the outside through Stowe. Bearman remains right on his rear, a gap forming through Abbey. 

Colapinto lunges down the inside of Brooklands on Martins, making his move for 6th stick. 

Marti lunges down the inside of Hauger through Stowe, Marti finally making his move stick.

The black and white flag is waved for Miyata for track limits. Aron finally makes his pit stop on lap 28, dropping him back to 14th after serving his penalty.

Crawford crosses the line ahead of Hadjar and Maloney, Crawford dropping to 3rd after his penalty.
