Andretti Formula E team has officially confirmed that Norman Nato will be departing the squad after just one season. The French driver, who joined Andretti from Nissan for Season 10 as a replacement for the retiring André Lotterer, will not continue with the American outfit for the upcoming season.
Season 10 proved challenging for Andretti, with both Nato and his teammate, former world champion Jake Dennis, struggling particularly in qualifying sessions. Nato managed to accumulate 47 points throughout the season, finishing 75 points behind Dennis. Despite the difficulties, Nato did achieve some success, including a podium finish in Shanghai.
Andretti acknowledged Nato’s contributions in a statement released on social media: “A heartfelt thank you to @NatoNorman for his time spent in our red and white machine this season.”
“Norman has been a brilliant asset to the team over the last year, and we are grateful for his efforts and commitment. We would like to wish Norman all the best for the future.”
As the season progressed, speculation grew about Nato’s replacement, with many reports linking Nico Müller to the vacant seat. Müller, who recently parted ways with ABT following the final round in London, is widely expected to be announced as Nato’s successor.
Müller’s reputation in Formula E is well-established. The Swiss driver was notably tested by TAG Heuer Porsche – Andretti’s powertrain suppliers – between the Diriyah and São Paulo rounds last season, fuelling rumours of a potential move.
Andretti is set to make an official announcement in the coming days regarding who will partner Jake Dennis for the upcoming season.
