Chloe Chambers is the first F1 Academy driver to be announced for next season — with the 20-year-old joining the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme, she will wear their blue colours for her second year in the all-female series in 2025.
Chambers scored her maiden F1 Academy win in Barcelona Race 2, alongside two other podium finishes so far. With two rounds remaining till the end of the season, the American sits fourth in The Driver’s Championship, representing Haas and being operated by Campos Racing.
Prior to competing in F1 Academy, she drove in the Formula 4 United States Championship, W Series and in 2023, Chambers became the first woman to get pole position and win a race in the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship.
“I am thrilled to be driving for the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme for the upcoming 2025 season. As an American driver, it is an honour to team up with an iconic American automotive company like Ford,” Chambers expressed her excitement to be partnering with her compatriots Ford Motorsport Company.
“It is a privilege to be partnering with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme to continue improving female representation in the sport, and I am grateful for the support to achieve my own career goals in motorsport.”
Already this weekend, Chambers will get her first taste of being part of the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme — she’s racing in the final round of the IMSA Mustang Challenge 2024 at the SRO Indianapolis 8 Hour Presented by AWS.
“I am excited to take part in the Ford Mustang Challenge this week and to have more opportunities to race outside of my role in F1 ACADEMY,” the American commented.
“My focus for the rest of the year remains on delivering performance with Haas, but I’m looking forward to the next chapter in 2025 with the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme,” she concluded.
Christian Horner, the CEO and team principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing, also shared his thoughts on the new join of forces in one of the feeder series of Formula 1:

This announcement also sees Ford extending their title partnership of the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme, which was launched this season — something Horner and Red Bull are obviously glad for.
The global director of Ford Performance Motorsport, Mark Rushbrook, expressed his enthusiasm of supporting more female talent in the sport and welcoming an American driver to the team:
“It’s so great to welcome Chloe to the Ford family as she joins the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme. Chloe is not only a real racing talent but also has the ability to race in different series and to see her lining up in the Mustang Challenge in our Dark Horse R is really cool.”

With this, it is clear that not only is Chambers parting ways with MoneyGram Haas at the end of the 2024, but Red Bull Ford is also parting ways with their previous representing driver Emely De Heus. They took the chance to thank the Dutch driver for her hard work and commitment throughout the year as she will be departing from the series at the conclusion of her two-season stint in F1 Academy, which is the maximum allowed by the regulations.
