After winning the 2024 Formula Regional Oceania Championship with M2 Competition, Polish-British racing driver Roman Bilinski joins Rodin Motorsport’s F3 line-up for the 2025 season, partnering with Callum Voisin and Louis Sharp.
Formula Regional Oceania experience “an advantage” for Bilinski
While speaking to media, including Pit Debrief, Bilinski stated that his experience against some of his F3 competitors in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, and his experience with some of the tracks could give him an advantage for his 2025 F3 campaign. However, he also noted that it was difficult to truly predict how he would perform in the series, due to both his and his team’s lack of familiarity with the 2025 F3 car.
“Yeah, definitely, I think it’s an advantage in a way, racing against drivers that I know.”
“Because then you kind of know how they kind of are on track with overtaking, defending, things like this. So you’ve got a good idea on how you need to look at an overtake or something like this. But also having the knowledge on the tracks is a big thing.”
“Of course, I don’t know, no one really knows this car, but knowing the tracks I think is key. For sure, we’ll go to some tracks that I don’t know, but eight of them I know, so it’s good.”
F3 “a huge opportunity” for “lucky” Bilinski
An excited Bilinski described himself as lucky to have the chance to compete in the 2025 FIA Formula 3 championship and stated that it was an honour to have such a “huge opportunity”, especially with Rodin Motorsport.
“So I’m very excited for this season. It felt like a long time coming, making a step up to F3, but I’m very excited.”
“And I think to be in a championship like this, I’m very lucky and it’s a huge opportunity. And also to race for Rodin, you know, it’s an honour.”
He added that he had developed positive relationships with the Rodin Motorsport team and with his new teammates, whose “extremely fast” performances on track pushed him to maximise his own development as a driver.
“But no, about the team, I was previously in Carlin before, about three years ago, if I remember, four years ago, in British F4. So I do know a lot of the team, which is good.”
“And then, I mean, my teammates, Callum and Louis, they’re both extremely fast on track. So I think we’re pushing each other, which is really good and pushes the team. But, you know, we all have a laugh as well. I think there’s a lot of banter in Roden.”
“So the vibe and the environment is very good.”
