The 2025 FIA F3 season is officially up and running as the opening round of the campaign has been completed at the Australian GP, and here is how the championship standings look after a wet feature race at Albert Park in Melbourne.
It was a memorable weekend for Rafael Câmara and Santiago Ramos as they claimed their first wins in the series in very different conditions. The Brazilian won on debut at Trident, with the Mexican returning for a second season, moving from Trident over to Van Amersfoort Racing.
It is very much a rookie show as Câmara, Naël and Strømsted occupy the top 3 points in the standings. The Brazilian and Danish drivers completed a 1-2 for Trident in the feature. French driver Naël scored points across both races to split them in his Van Amersfoort Racing package.
In a last-minute return, Nikita Bedrin returned to AIX Racing for the opening round, and he sits P4 in the Drivers’ Championship, leading those who have previous experience in the series.
PREMA, who have a fantastic history in the series and are regular championship contenders, had a weekend to forget. They only scored two points as Noel León and Ugo Ugochukwu scored one each across the Sprint and Feature races.
F3 takes a break as they will not race on the F1 support card in Shanghai or Suzuka over the coming weeks. The young drivers will be seen once again in Bahrain on the 13th of April following plenty of thrilling racing.
