Felipe Drugovich will replace Lance Stroll in Bahrain testing.
Yesterday, Aston Martin announced Lance Stroll was set to miss Bahrain testing beginning on Thursday due to sustaining minor injuries after a bike accident in Spain. Without going into further details on the injuries, the team said that Stroll´s health would be assessed daily up to the season opener in Bahrain.
Today, the team announced on twitter that Felipe Drugovich will attend Bahrain testing to drive alongside Fernando Alonso.
Drugovich is set to drive the AMR23 on Thursday morning and Alonso in the afternoon. The schedule for Friday and Saturday is yet to be confirmed.
The Brazilian driver joined Aston Martin following a dominant run to the Formula 2 title last year with MP Motorsport.
Stoffel Vandoorne is unavailable due to Formula E commitments in South Africa this weekend.
