Indy NXT has made changes to its schedule to be a part of one of North Americas premier racing weekends, alongside IndyCar, the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR XFINITY Series on August the 11th.
Indy NXT have scrapped the first race of the doubleheader on the GMR Grand Prix weekend on May 12th and instead will only race on May 13th, with the championship now being a part of two major weekends rather than just one.

It comes as IndyCar are pushing to improve the spotlight of the series, after the announcement that the champion will receive benefits to be applied to an oval test at Texas Motor Speedway, the Indy 500 open test, a rookie orientation programme and an entry into the Indy 500 race plus another event on top of that.
“To feature Indy NXT by Firestone during this elite IndyCar-Nascar weekend is a tremendous opportunity”, said Indy NXT director Levi Jones.
“This season, 19 Indy NXT entries will compete for the 2023 championship – the most since 2009. It is a growing series matching the growing IndyCar paddock and a phenomenal moment to showcase the next generation of stars on a huge stage.”
The Indy NXT season begins on March 5th in St. Petersburg Florida.
