Alisha Palmowski won the first race of the 2025 F1 Academy season in truly dramatic circumstances on Saturday as she held off Chloe Chambers on the final lap in the reverse grid contest. Long time race leader Nina Gademan was left to rue a cruel techincal problem with a couple of laps remaining.

In the feature event on Sunday, Doriane Pin made a superb pass into turn 1 on the opening lap as he swept around the outside of polesitter Maya Weug to take a commanding victory in the end, leading the championship in the process before the second round in Saudi Arabia next month.

The French driver holds a five-point lead over her Ferrari counterpart, with Chambers a further two back. Palmowski is the lead rookie as she sits on 18 points, 4 clear of Larsen who was very impressive with her speed in both races at the Shanghai International Circuit.
