Oscar Piastri seized the F1 championship lead after winning the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The Australian McLaren driver capitalized on Max Verstappen’s five-second time penalty, which the Red Bull driver received for going off track during their Turn 1 battle at the start. Piastri managed his race perfectly, executing a well-timed pit stop strategy that gave him clear track position, while consistently setting the fastest laps to build his advantage.

Charles Leclerc claimed the final podium position for Ferrari after a lengthy opening stint on medium tires, narrowly holding off a charging Lando Norris in the closing laps. This victory marks Piastri’s third win of the season and makes him the first Australian to lead the Drivers’ Championship since 2010.
