The 2025 F1 Sprint part of the season is underway as the drivers competed in the first one of the year at the Chinese GP, and you can view the full championship standings and results after the 19-lap contest on Saturday morning.
Lewis Hamilton started on pole for the first time in his Ferrari, with Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri completing the top 3. Leclerc, Russell, championship leader Norris, Antonelli, Tsunoda, Albon and Stroll rounded out the top 10 on the grid.
After winning the Australian GP to take the lead of the Drivers’ Championship for the first time in his career, Lando Norris maintained top spot despite a terrible Sprint. He made a mistake at turn 6 on lap 1, losing three spots. Late in the race he cleared Lance Stroll to take a single point.
Hamilton’s supreme Sprint victory moves him up to P5 in the standings, with Verstappen moving to within two points of Norris thanks to his 3rd place finish after Oscar Piastri overtook him.
George Russell has kept P3 overall, the third driver to get into the 20+ club after two races after holding off Charles Leclerc for P4.
Yuki Tsunoda scored his and Racing Bulls’ first point of the season with 6th.
