As reported by Sportscar365, Archangel Motorsports will continue in the GT World Challenge (GTWC) America powered by AWS, confirming a full-season programme with Todd Coleman and Aaron Telitz in its McLaren 720S GT3 Evo.

The announcement ensures continuity for the Mike Johnson-led squad, as the duo embarks on its second full season together in the SRO America-run championship. Consequently, the team builds on an encouraging debut campaign in the ultra-competitive Pro-Am ranks.

Coleman stepped up to full-time GT3 competition in 2025 following success in Europe and the Middle East with McLaren machinery. The FIA Bronze-rated driver and Telitz secured five top-five Pro-Am finishes during their first season together in GTWC America. Now, the pairing aims to convert experience into results.

“We are excited to be back competing for a championship in GT World Challenge North America,” said Coleman. “The 2026 season is bringing another amazing grid of top drivers that we are honored to compete against. 2025 was a development year for us in the McLaren GT3 platform; 2026 is on target to be a momentum building year.”

Therefore, Archangel approaches the new campaign with confidence and a clear performance target.

Telitz echoed that optimism while also welcoming the championship’s revised structure.

“It’s an honor to be back in GTWC America with Todd and Archangel for the 2026 season. I’m really looking forward to the new race format in GT World Challenge America, as I think it’ll make for some really exciting races. It’ll be Todd’s second full season in GT3 machinery and I’m confident we will be in contention for the championship in ’26.”

For 2026, organisers have introduced a headline three-hour race at each round, with the exception of the season-ending Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As a result, strategy and endurance execution will play an even greater role in determining outcomes.

The campaign begins next month at Sonoma Raceway, where Archangel will look to start strongly and establish early momentum. With an additional year of GT3 experience, an unchanged driver line-up and a proven McLaren package, the team positions itself firmly among the Pro-Am contenders heading into the 2026 season.
