Joshua Dürksen joins Invicta Racing for his third F2 season in 2026, a move that could see the Paraguayan driver contend for the title. With the team’s recent success in the championship, Dürksen’s talent and raw pace are undeniable, and he now has the right environment, team and machinery to deliver a strong campaign.
The 22 year-old rise to single-seaters came quick, having spent just three years in karting before making his debut in 2019. Last year, Dürksen spoke exclusively to Pit Debrief ahead of his move to Invicta Racing. After a solid 2025 campaign with AIX Racing, expectations are high as he begins his third F2 season with a team renowned for its success in the paddock.
When asked what fans can expect from him in 2026, he said: “Yeah, that’s a really good question. I’m extremely happy, to be honest, to have this amazing opportunity to be racing on Invicta. I think it’s the first time in my career where I have really the chance to be racing in a top team. AIX, don’t get me wrong, is an amazing team. We have a lot of things.”
“Invicta has shown in the last years that they’re always there in the front. So of course, their package is really good. So it’s just an amazing opportunity. I just want to maximise it. I want to give my best.”
Nothing less than “best” from Dürksen in 2026
“Even though it’s Invicta, the driver still has to do the job.”, Dürksen said.
Invicta Racing has now secured back-to-back Teams’ and Drivers’ titles, first with Gabriel Bortoleto and last year with Leonardo Fornaroli. While confident he has everything needed to succeed, the Paraguayan driver is focused on continuous improvement as hard work continues behind the scenes at Invicta Racing.
“We still have to work. We still have to make sure we get these good results. It doesn’t mean that we can relax now and just drive and just be on the podium. The hard work still has to be done from Invicta’s side, from my side, from everybody’s side.”
“So what you can for sure expect from my side is that I will give my best and I will show everything that I have. That’s something very clear. The results will depend, of course, on many factors of what the others do, what we’re doing together. But the hard work and the dedication will be there 100%.”
Dürksen faces stiff competition, with reigning Formula 3 Champion Rafael Câmara alongside him at Invicta Racing. However, as the season opener approaches, the Paraguayan returns to a track where he’s previously found success, having won the Sprint Race in Melbourne last year.
