Lights out!
As the lights went out, Pulling maintained her lead into turn 1, Chambers close behind with Pin right up beside her. Pin and Chambers collided, sending them to the back of the field. Chambers was forced to box for a new front wing.
H. Al Qubaisi and Weug slotted up into the final podium positions respectfully. On lap 2, into turn 6, Weug made her move up on H. Al Qubaisi, securing 2nd place. Martí in 4th also began to close in on the two in 2nd and 3rd.
Weug closes in on Pulling on lap 3 attempting to take 1st place, unable to make her move stick.
Bustamante locks up into turn 6, hitting H. Al Qubaisi, dropping Bustamante down to 6th.
Weug looks to make her move for the lead on Pulling into turn 6 on lap 5, finally securing the lead, before Pulling cuts the corner and regains the lead.
Weug in the lead
Lap 6 saw Weug claiming 1st place and making her move stick.
Weug began to extend her lead on Pulling as Pulling began to struggle with balance, the gap at almost 2 seconds by the end of lap 7.
H. Al Qubaisi is stuck to the rear of Pulling as she leads a long train that spans from 3rd all the way down to Hannah in 15th.
By lap 10, Weug’s lead had increased to 5 seconds, with Block pulling off an overtake on Bustamante for 5thon track.
Lap 11 saw another impressive move from Block to overtake Martí for 4th. Lap 12 saw Block attempting to line up a move on H. Al Qubaisi for 3rd place, which saw Block touching the rear of H. Al Qubaisi’s car, ultimately spinning the Emirati driver.
This move saw Block receive a 10-second penalty, causing her to finish at the back of the field, despite finishing 3rd on track.
The safety car was released for this incident, removing Weug’s lead, and leaving just one lap of racing.
Weug reached the chequered flag first, with Pulling, Block and Martí following behind, Martí securing the third spot on the podium.
