F3 Feature | Austrian Grand Prix | Browning beats Mini and Beganovic to the flag after an eventful feature race in Austria

Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Luke Browning lines up in the P1 spot on the grid alongside Prema’s Arvid Lindblad after topping Friday’s qualifying session in Austria. After a delayed start, all five lights are out, and the feature race for round 6 is underway. 

Tramnitz has a slow start, dropping back to P7. Browning stays ahead of Lindblad, Mini just behind. Mini and Lindblad fight through turns 4 and 5, Beganovic swooping in and taking P3 from Mini. 

Beganovic jumps from P5 up to P3 by turn 5.

Beganovic looks to the inside of Lindblad and squeezes up the inside, snatching P2 from his teammate. 

A turn 6 collision between Wurz and Dufek is noted by race control. Leon moves up on Montoya to claim P6. 

Loake reports a puncture as he approaches the final turns on lap 2. Inthraphuvasak also bringing his car into pitlane with front wing damage. 

Montoya and Dunne go side by side through turn 4. Stenshorne and Van Hoepen fight through turn 8 and into turn 9, with Mansell applying pressure to Stenshorne. 

Esterson and Flörsch battle for P16, Flörsch unable to make her move on Esterson stick. 

Goethe lunges on Leon through turn 10, going side by side before Goethe makes it stick.

Voisin and Dufek collided, Tramnitz also making contact with Montoya through turn 1. Montoya and Dufek bring their cars into pit lane, both leaving their cars, both incidents are under investigation, Voisin and Tramnitz both receiving a 10s penalty. 

Tramnitz goes wide through turn 3. Lindblad drops to P7 after Dunne makes contact with him, this incident being put under investigation by race control, Dunne receiving a 10s penalty. 

Meg was shuffled wide through turn 7, running slightly over the gravel through turn 8.

Goethe lunges down the inside of Dunne in turn 4, taking P5 from him. 

Bedrin and Boya make major contact through turn 3, bringing out a Virtual Safety Car, Boya receiving a 10s penalty. 

Goethe lunges on Leon, but can’t make it stick. Leon runs off into the gravel off turn 6 after making contact with Goethe, dropping back to 20th, before being forced to pit, coming back out in 24th.

Meguetounif, Shields, and Stenshorne all received five-second penalties.

Flörsch makes her move on Meguetounif, making her lunge for P13, P11 after penalties, stick. 

Mansell makes a move on Goethe, making his move for P4 stick, chasing down a podium position.

Mini narrowly misses the rear of Beganovic, forcing Mansell to also watch out. 

Tsolov and Lindblad fight for P7 through turns 3, 4, 5, and 6, making contact in turn 3. 

Mini lunges on Beganovic on the start of lap 24, unable to make it stick, Mansell gaining on Mini in turn 4, Mini reclaiming P3 in turn 6. This fight enables Browning to escape out of DRS range from Beganovic.

Mini lunges on Beganovic into turn 4, making it stick into turn 5. Beganovic lunges down the outside of Mini into turn 3, Mansell right on the tail of Mini. They go three wide on the run-up to turn 6, Mini regaining P2 at the end of turn 6. 

Luke Browning crosses the line in P1, ahead of the Prema’s of Mini and Beganovic.
