The Formula 1 Corporation and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) have noted Red Bull’s investigation into team principal Christian Horner.

News broke early January that Horner was being investigated for “inappropriate behavior,” prompting a lot of speculation online about it.

Red Bull decided to make no further comments until an independent investigation into the matter is complete. However, the situation didn’t stop the team principal from being present at the launch, and speaking with the media he said that while the matter was a “distraction,” the work inside the squad has been “business as usual.”

On Friday, Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf released more details on the alleged inappropriate behaviour of Horner.

In its statement about the situation, Formula 1 said that they “have noted that Red Bull has instigated an independent investigation into internal allegations at Red Bull Racing.”

“We hope that the matter will be clarified at the earliest opportunity, after a fair and thorough process and we will not comment further at this time.”

The FIA also commented on the situation, saying, according to, that “in relation to the independent investigation currently being undertaken by Red Bull GMbH, the FIA reiterates that until such time as the investigation has concluded and the outcome is known, we will not be commenting further.

“The FIA remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, fairness and inclusivity within the sport.”

Both the FIA and F1 refrained from mentioning Horner in their statement.
