After a slow start to the 2024 FIA Formula 3 season, Rodin Motorsport’s Callum Voisin recovered well to finish 12th in the drivers’ championship with a podium in Silverstone and his maiden F3 win in Spa. His 67 points saw him finish ahead of teammates Piotr Wiśnicki in 23rd and Joseph Loake in 26th and earned him a second chance to compete for the title. Voisin is expected to continue with Rodin Motorsport for the 2025 F3 season.

Voisin feels “quite good” ahead of 2025 F3 season

During a media event, the British-Swiss driver spoke about the lessons that he had learnt from his rookie F3 season. When responding to a question from Pit Debrief, Voisin explained that it was important to maximise consistency throughout the season. He also identified the importance of a good qualifying session, noting that he had struggled in qualifying in the first half of the season. These difficulties in qualifying, he indicated, had been the most detrimental factor to his F3 campaign.

“Well, I think consistency is the main thing and making sure that you make the most of every qualifying round.”

“I think that’s one thing that we kind of struggled with, especially at the start of the season. But getting the results over the line was the main thing.”

“I think we had a similar sort of pace, maybe not obviously pole and whatnot, but we had a similar amount of pace for a fair amount of the year. So it’s mostly getting it across the line and keeping your cool, especially during F3 qualifying, which is quite a tricky one.”

Despite the challenges in 2024, Voisin claims that he feels “quite good” going into the 2025 F3 season as a more experienced driver.

“But no, I mean, I’m feeling obviously quite good bringing all that experience into this year, knowing obviously I’ve already got a win under my belt and whatnot.”

“You know, it can only be good for the season up ahead,” he added.
