After a fourth-place finish in the 2024 Formula Regional European Championship, Italian racing driver, Alessandro Giusti steps up to F3 for the 2025 season. He joins MP Motorsport’s line-up, alongside Red Bull junior Tim Tramnitz, and third-place finisher in the 2024 Eurocup-3 championship, Bruno del Pino.
Having raced with ART Grand Prix in 2024, this will be the Italian’s first season with the Dutch team. While speaking to the media, including Pit Debrief, he described the atmosphere at MP Motorsport as “quite nice”, noting positive relationships between its members.
“There are not many Dutch people in the team in F3, but yeah, the atmosphere is quite nice between all the mechanics and the engineers and the drivers.”
No pressure from Williams, says Giusti
As a member of the Williams Racing Driver Academy, Giusti has been able to draw support from the legendary F1 team as he prepares for the 2025 F3 season. Despite this, the Italian driver does not feel any added pressure to perform.
Instead, he claimed, “No, for me, it’s more the inverse.”
When responding to a question from Pit Debrief, Giusti explained that he felt supported and trusted by Williams, and described having had positive interactions with the team since joining.
“It doesn’t give pressure at all and stress more. Because you are supported by Williams, they trust you. So it’s good.”
“We had quite a lot of support from the mental side, physical side. And yeah, the team is quite nice as well. We had some sessions there last year and this year.”
Familiarity between rivals a potential challenge for F3 rookies
While additional pressure from Williams will not be a challenge for F3 rookie, Giusti identifies that the familiarity between the rookies joining from FRECA and Eurocup-3 could pose a challenge. He stated that while his experience in competition against them could help him challenge them, their familiarity with his driving style could work against him.
“I think the good point is that you know them, like the rookies from FRECA and Eurocup-3. But the negative is that they know you as well. So yeah, it’s a bit the case. But yeah, they are rookies as well.”
