Polish outfit Good Speed Racing has announced its return to full-season competition in 2026, unveiling a revamped programme built around a brand-new Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The team confirmed the news on 7 March as it revealed its new car, sponsors, and driver line-up for the upcoming campaign.
The team previously competed in the International GT Open during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. After restructuring and strengthening its partnerships, Good Speed Racing now plans a renewed push on the international GT racing stage. The programme signals a significant step forward for the Polish squad as it continues to build its presence in European GT competition.
The 2026 effort will see the team enter the Am class with car number 14, a category designed for Bronze-rated drivers. The move marks another milestone in the team’s development following its recent success in the FIA Central European Zone (CEZ) Central European GT Championship.

At the heart of the team’s new project sits the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, one of the most competitive GT3 machines currently racing in international endurance and sprint championships. Aston Martin Racing’s dedicated motorsport division will prepare the car for Good Speed Racing’s campaign.
The team expects the new machinery to raise its performance level while providing an opportunity to compete more consistently against established GT Open teams.
Team Principal Piotr Bednarek emphasised the importance of the new partnerships and the opportunity to work with the Aston Martin brand.
“We are extremely proud to welcome our new sponsors as our official partners,” said Piotr Bednarek, Team Principal of Good Speed Racing. “Their support gives us the opportunity to compete with one of the most advanced GT3 race cars in the world and continue developing our team on the international stage. We are excited to start this new chapter with Aston Martin, and our goal is to represent Poland with pride on international racing circuits and continue building the success of Good Speed Racing.”
Experienced Bronze drivers lead the line-up
Good Speed Racing will field two experienced Bronze-rated drivers for the 2026 season. Piotr Wira, aged 52, returns to the International GT Open grid after previous appearances in the series. He brings valuable GT racing experience and continuity to the team’s new programme.
He will share driving duties with 48-year-old Tomasz Magdziarz. Magdziarz previously competed in GT Cup Europe and has built a reputation within Polish motorsport. Outside racing, he also holds a notable position in Polish football, adding further recognition to the driver pairing.
The team believes the combination of experience and familiarity with GT racing will help it adapt quickly to the Aston Martin platform during the upcoming season.
Barcelona winter test to kick off preparations
Good Speed Racing officially unveiled the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and its new livery during a launch event held the day before the announcement. The unveiling introduced the team’s refreshed visual identity alongside its new sponsor portfolio.
The team will soon begin on-track preparations as it heads to Spain later this month. Good Speed Racing plans to participate in the International GT Open Winter Test in Barcelona, where it will conduct its first running with the new car and evaluate performance ahead of the season opener.
The Barcelona test will provide an important opportunity for the drivers and engineers to familiarise themselves with the Vantage GT3 and refine the team’s setup strategy before the competitive campaign begins.
