GT World Challenge (GTWC) powered by AWS has completed final preparations for the 2026 season, with stacked grids and a line-up of world-renowned manufacturers confirmed ahead of the opening round in Europe at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11–12 April.

Notably, the championship will feature a full-capacity 59-car field in the Endurance Cup, while the Sprint Cup attracts a record-breaking 45 entries. Consequently, both series enter the new campaign at maximum strength, underlining the continued global growth of GT racing.

Ten major manufacturers set for battle in 2026 GTWC Europe

A world-leading roster of 10 automotive brands will compete for honours throughout the season. Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, and Porsche will all contest victories across the championship’s demanding calendar.

Furthermore, the grid will expand even more for the marquee CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, scheduled for 25–28 June. The iconic event will once again combine elite-level endurance racing with a festival-style atmosphere designed to enhance the spectator experience.

Competitive classes across the grid

Teams will compete across four distinct classes, each contributing to the depth of competition. The Pro category represents the pinnacle of global GT racing and includes many manufacturer-supported entries.

Meanwhile, the Gold Cup and Silver Cup classes feature a blend of professional and semi-professional drivers, creating closely contested racing throughout the field. In addition, the Bronze Cup continues to embody the popular pro-am philosophy that has become central to the success of GT World Challenge powered by AWS.

Global representation and elite talent to headline 2026 GTWC Europe

The 2026 entry lists feature some of the strongest teams in international GT racing, including multiple champions and past CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa winners. At the same time, the driver roster blends experienced professionals, emerging talents, and accomplished amateur competitors.

Overall, more than 30 countries across six continents will be represented, reinforcing the championship’s status as one of the most internationally diverse series in motorsport.

Anticipation builds for Paul Ricard opener

Stéphane Ratel, founder and CEO of series promoter SRO Motorsports Group, emphasised both the competitive strength of the grids and the continued development of the event experience.

“I am incredibly proud and excited by our 2026 entry lists,” said Ratel, founder and CEO of series promoter SRO Motorsports Group. “The size and quality of the grids is unique in international GT racing and promises fantastic action from start to finish.

“I must also speak about our events, which have been a major focus in recent years. In 2026, fans at the track will enjoy even more in terms of entertainment, as well as outstanding support races. Those unable to attend in person can watch on the GT World YouTube channel, which is free to view around the world. With all of this in mind, I know that 2026 will be an unforgettable year for fans and competitors alike.”

With record participation, global manufacturer involvement, and enhanced fan engagement both at the circuit and online, anticipation continues to build ahead of the season-opening event at Circuit Paul Ricard.

As preparations conclude, the 2026 GT World Challenge (GTWC) powered by AWS season promises intense competition and a landmark year for international GT racing.
