Former Haas sponsor, Uralkali confirmed that they received payment from the team, ending a dispute surrounding the team during the Dutch Grand Prix.

Haas decided to split ways with Uralkali before the start of the 2022 season due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Still, most of the sponsor money was already transferred to the American team.

During last weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix, sought to seek a $12 million repayment following a ruling from the Swiss Arbitration Centre that ruled in favour of the ex-sponsor a few months ago.

It was reported that the team was unable to leave the Netherlands on Sunday evening, but the ex-sponsor had recently confirmed that payments had been made and the trucks carrying the team’s equipment were allowed to make their way toward Monza, Italy for this week’s Italian Grand Prix.

“Uralkali confirms that we have received in full the payment owed by Haas (including interest and fees) following the ruling of the Swiss court of arbitration. We have also collected the race car owed to us under the terms of the sponsorship agreement.

“As such, Uralkali has notified Dutch authorities that they may release Haas’ assets from arrest as an interim measure, and Haas is free to take them out of the Netherlands.

“The money returned to Uralkali by the Swiss arbitration and transferred to us by Haas will be used to increase our capacity to ensure a stable food supply.”
