The second practice session at the London Excel Circuit kicked off at 9:55 local time. The 22 drivers immediately entered the track to put some laps on the board. Robin Frijns was the first to set a time, he clocked a slow 1:22.658. The rest of the grid also started with some slower laps, before clocking times in the 1:12 mark.

The Envision drivers had an incredible start to the session, leading the pack with 1-2. However, they didn’t remain there for long. At the ten-minute mark, Mitch Evans was on top with a 1:11.463, closely followed by his fellow championship contenders Nick Cassidy on P2, Pascal Wehrlein on P3 and Oliver Rowland on P4.

The order kept changing rapidly, with the Jaguars jumping to the top spots, immediately followed by the two envision drivers. Rowland then lost his Nissan in Turn 14, but quickly managed to rejoin the track without any damage.

At the halfway point, it was Cassidy leading the field, followed by Lucas di Grassi in P2 and Norman Nato in P3. Frijns then put in an amazing lap of 1:11.034, putting himself back into the top position. He was followed by title contenders Evans, Wehrlein and Cassidy.

With ten minutes to go in FP2, Cassidy was on top of the timesheet once again. Rowland then spun again, this time in turn 16, upon entering the inside part of the track. Frijns then took over the lead again, leaving Cassidy behind him.

Frijns ended the session on the top spot, followed by Rowland and Sébastien Buemi. Most of the other championship contenders finished within the top ten, António Félix da Costa.

Tune in at 12:20 local time for the penultimate qualifying session of the season.
