Following a qualifying day full of suprises, Magnussen will start Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix race on the third row. After qualifying he mentioned the track suits what has been a very unpredictable car and has been a help for both Haas drivers to make and complete Q3 with success.
“Well, first of all for whatever reason the car is stronger on this track.”
“I think we’re a little lucky that the track is just our track for the car we have right know. But nonetheless I think we’ve done a good job and we capitalized on the good form of the car, got both cars into Q3 and starting in a good position tomorrow.”
He also expresses his aim to maintain his position and earn good points for the team tomorrow because of how difficult it is to pass on the Singapore streets.
“Maybe on this track there is a chance. You know, it comes with a little extra pressure because it’s like a bit of a one-off chance that you might get and I really want to grab it and score some points tomorrow.I’m really going to hang on to it. I’m not going to make it easy for anyone.”
