Czech rising talent Jan Koller will make his debut in the 2026 Euroformula Open Championship after joining Team Motopark. The 18-year-old from Prague becomes the fifth confirmed driver in the team’s expanding line-up for the upcoming season.
As a result, Motopark continues to build a competitive roster, blending emerging talent with proven experience.
Steady progression through Formula 4
Koller steps up to Euroformula Open following a solid foundation in Formula 4. Notably, he competed in the Italian championship across 2024 and 2025, while also gaining experience in the Central European Zone (CEZ) series in 2024.
Therefore, his promotion reflects consistent development and growing confidence behind the wheel. His performances have not only demonstrated pace but also an increasing understanding of single-seater racing dynamics.
Koller targets growth and strong results with high expectations from Motopark ahead of 2026 Euroformula Open campaign
Looking ahead to his debut season, Koller expressed enthusiasm and determination as he prepares for the challenge.
“I’m very excited to be racing for Motopark in the 2026 Euroformula season. This is an incredible opportunity and a big step forward in my racing career. I’m grateful to the team for their trust and support as we prepare for the challenges ahead. I’m fully focused on working hard, learning, and delivering strong results throughout the season. I can’t wait to hit the track and represent Motopark as well as the Czech Republic in the upcoming season.”
Meanwhile, Team Motopark has shown strong belief in Koller’s potential. Team manager Roland Rehfeld highlighted the driver’s rapid development and promising attributes.
“Jan started his formula career in 2024 and has shown solid progression during his 2025 Formula 4 season as well as in our winter testing program. Accompanied by last year’s F2 race winner Roman Stanek as his driver coach, we expect Jan to be the dark horse in this year’s Euroformula Open Championship. He has good natural speed and technical understanding. It will be very interesting to see how Jan will grow within Motopark and the championship.”
With guidance from Roman Staněk, a race winner in Formula 2, Koller benefits from valuable mentorship as he transitions to the next level.
Ultimately, Koller’s move marks an important milestone in his career. While the Euroformula Open presents a significant step up, his steady progression, strong support network and evident talent position him as one to watch.
Consequently, as the 2026 season approaches, attention will turn to how quickly the young Czech driver can adapt — and whether he can emerge as the “dark horse” his team anticipates.
