It’s time to set the FE grid with qualifying for the fifth round of the 2025 season, the Miami E-Prix! Will championship leader Oliver Rowland manage to extend his lead, or will a talented outsider such as FP2 leader and thrice on the podium Taylor Barnard steal the P1?

Group A

xRowland, da Costa, Hughes, Evans, Dennis, Mortara, Vandoorne, Buemi, Muller, Maloney and Beckmann take the ground. After the first set of attempts Dennis leads from Beckmann, Rowland and Evans. Da Costa gets on top next signing a 1:24.790s.

Rowland had a moment on his final attempt and ultimately does not manage to get through. The Porsche driver’s benchmark remains intact instead, as he moves forward with Vandoorne, Dennis and Kiro’s Beckmann, for the first time advancing to the Duels.

Group B

McLaren’s Barnard leads the way, still on his quest to become the youngest Formula E race winner ever in his rookie season. In spite of a challenging FP2 and Saudi Arabian weekend, Cassidy is leading the segment after the first set of timed laps in 1:38.16, ahead of Nato, Ticktum and Günther.

The Jaguar driver ran wide through the chicane on his next attempt, failing to improve. Di Grassi and Frijns cycle at the lead next.

The Lola driver lowered it to 1:24.799s, only 0.009sahead of Nato. In the last heated moments of the session, Frijns takes the top spot by improving the Brazilian’s time by 0.043s. Nato and De Vries advance as well

Ultimately, the very fast Barnard does not move forward, as well as reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein.

Dennis started out with 0.131s of advantage on Vandoorne, which grew to over half a second in the middle sector. Ultimately the Andretti driver signed the fastest lap of the weekend so far.

De Vries and Frijns face in the final and closest Duel of the day. The Dutchman driving for Mahindra began slightly ahead of his connational, but in the final sector the Envision driver managed to upset the fight.

Semi Finals

In the first Semi Final of FE Qualifying ahead of the Miami E-Prix, Dennis battles with Da Costa for a front row guaranteed spot. Dennis signed another amazingly fast lap, securing his first Final spot since Berlin 2024,
