Razoon – more than racing has confirmed that it will contest a full season of the GT World Challenge (GTWC) powered by AWS in 2026, signalling a significant expansion of its GT3 programme.

After making a one-off appearance at Misano in 2025, the Austrian squad will now tackle both the Sprint and Endurance Cups across the entire campaign. The move represents a decisive commitment to competing at the highest level of international GT3 racing, where manufacturer-backed teams and experienced driver pairings set an intense competitive standard.

By entering both formats, Razoon will expose itself to the full spectrum of challenges that define modern GT racing. Sprint events demand outright pace and precision over shorter distances, while Endurance rounds test consistency, strategy and operational discipline over several hours. Consequently, the team must refine every aspect of its preparation to ensure it competes effectively throughout the season.

Porsche 911 GT3 to lead the charge as Razoon tackles 2026 GTWC

To mount its assault, Razoon will field the latest-specification Porsche 911 GT3, a car renowned for its balance, reliability and competitiveness in GT3 machinery worldwide. The Porsche platform has proven itself capable of delivering results across varied circuits and race lengths, making it a logical choice for a team stepping into a full-season campaign.

Although the squad has yet to confirm its driver line-up, preparations are already underway behind the scenes. The transition from a single guest appearance to a sustained championship effort requires not only driver consistency but also strengthened engineering support, race operations planning and logistical coordination across Europe’s leading circuits.

“A dream come true” – Olbert

Team boss Dominik Olbert emphasised both the emotional and sporting significance of the announcement, while also acknowledging the scale of the task ahead.

“Our entry into the GT World Challenge is a dream come true! It has always been my goal to compete in the best possible racing series, and in the GT3 category, the GT World Challenge is undoubtedly the top international class.

“We got a first impression during our guest appearance in Misano last year and now know what we are getting ourselves into. We are aware that this will not be an easy undertaking, but we will prepare ourselves as best we can to present ourselves in the best possible light.”

His remarks highlighted a blend of ambition and realism. While the team embraces the opportunity, it clearly recognises the intensity of competition it will face throughout the campaign.

The 2026 season will begin at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11–12 April, setting the stage for what promises to be a demanding year. Shortly afterwards, the Sprint Cup will launch at Brands Hatch on 2–3 May.

With firm dates on the calendar, Razoon now turns its focus to final preparations. As a result, the coming months will prove crucial in shaping the team’s ability to compete consistently. Nevertheless, by committing to the full season, Razoon – more than racing has made its intentions clear: it aims to measure itself against the very best in GT3 racing and establish a lasting presence on the international stage.
