Team WRT has completed its 2026 GTWC Europe programme, confirming an additional Endurance entry and two new Sprint crews. As a result, the BMW outfit will field three cars in Endurance Cup competition and four in Sprint Cup events, underlining its intent to fight across every front next season.
Previously, the squad had already revealed its full-season Pro entries for the #32 and #46 BMWs. Now, with the final pieces in place, the Belgian powerhouse enters 2026 with greater depth and clear title ambitions.
Silver Cup BMW strengthens Team WRT 2026 GTWC Endurance roster
Importantly, the newly announced #30 BMW will compete in the Silver Cup class. Matisse Lismont, Ignacio Montenegro and Amauray Cordeel will share driving duties in Endurance, while Lismont and Montenegro will also pursue Sprint honours together.
Lismont continues with Team WRT after joining midway through 2025. He immediately made his mark by claiming Silver Cup victory at Valencia alongside Gilles Stadsbader. The Belgian debuted in the series in 2024 and previously raced for Steller Motorsport and Comtoyou Racing. Consequently, he enters 2026 with valuable experience and proven pace.
Meanwhile, both of his team-mates step up as GT World rookies. Cordeel switches from single-seater racing after spending four seasons in FIA Formula 2. Montenegro arrives with an impressive résumé in TCR machinery, having secured race wins in both the South American and European championships. Together, the trio forms a dynamic and ambitious Silver Cup line-up.
Cordeel steps into Pro Sprint campaign, partnering Pepper
In addition to his Silver Cup Endurance role, Cordeel will also contest Sprint in the Pro class. He will partner newly signed BMW factory driver Jordan Pepper in the #31 BMW.
Pepper already forms part of the #32 Endurance crew, further strengthening the BMW camp’s continuity across formats. This dual programme gives Cordeel valuable exposure at the highest GT level while maintaining his development within the team structure.
Established BMW-backed Team WRT Pro crews target overall honours in 2026 GTWC
Elsewhere, Team WRT retains formidable Pro combinations. The #32 BMW will feature Charles Weerts, Dries Van der Linde and Jordan Pepper in Endurance, with Weerts and Van der Linde combining for Sprint duties.
The #46 BMW also continues with a high-profile line-up. Valentino Rossi, Maxime Hesse and Dan Harper will tackle the Endurance Cup, while Rossi and Hesse will focus on Sprint events.
Collectively, these entries give Team WRT a balanced blend of youth, experience and factory backing as it aims to challenge for overall victories throughout 2026. With its expanded line-up confirmed, Team WRT heads into the new season with clear momentum and renewed determination to add further silverware to its record.
