Heavy rain and flooding in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna saw 37 cities hit with landslides and severe flooding. Imola, home of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, and Faenza, home to AlphaTauri, were also severely affected with many people being evacuated from their homes.

The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari paddock was completely flooded and talks between the FIA and the Automobile Club of Italy concluded with the decision to postpone this years Grand Prix due to safety reasons.

With no viable solution to replace the event in such a short time, the Automobile Club of Italy has announced that fans who purchased tickets would have two options. Fans could convert their current tickets with tickets for next year’s event or could apply for a refund.

“All buyers who have purchased tickets through the sales network and the purchasing platform are informed that the opportunity to convert the tickets purchased with tickets for the 2024 event or alternatively the economic reimbursement.

“Given the ongoing emergency in the region, the methods and timing of the refund will be announced with a subsequent communication that will be sent by e-mail in the next few days by ACI Sport.”
